8th Annual Watercolor Show

Sandy Water Color Guild invites all Utah water-colorists (18 or older) to enter our 8th annual juried Water Color Show held in the gallery of the Sandy Senior Center, 9310 South 1300 East during the month of March.

Artists can submit one or two original pieces of work which are two-dimensional paintings in transparent and/or opaque water media, or unvarnished water-soluble media on paper. All paintings must be suitably framed with wire on the back for hanging, and the outside dimensions of the frame can be no larger than 33" x 33". There is a $10 entry fee for each submission. Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, first and second places.

Entries will be received on March 4 from 11 am to 8 pm, and on March 5 from 11 am to 2 pm. Awards and public reception will be held on Thursday March 18 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.

Fourth Annual Visual Arts Show

Sponsored annually by Sandy City  and the  Sandy Arts Guild

Hosted by the Sandy Senior Center

 Tentatively scheduled for

November 8-13, 2010

Visual artists from all across Utah will be invited to exhibit their artwork that includes sculptures, paintings, and art photography.

The show will follow a juried competition in which participants will vie for cash prizes, opportunity to exhibit, as well as sell their work directly to the public.

Entries should be submitted on November 5 to the Sandy Senior Center. Awards for excellence in arts will be presented at the Gala  Awards Ceremony  on  November 8, 7:00 PM at the Center.,
