Sandy Water Color Guild: Spring Art Show 2010
The following agreement is made between The Sandy Water Color Guild, a non-profit volunteer art club, and the exhibitor.

- The Exhibitor may submit two original water color paintings to the Sandy Water Color Guild Spring Show Committee to be displayed in the Sandy Senior Center Gallery at 9310 South and 13th East, Sandy, Utah, from March 4 to April 1, 2010. The submitted paintings may not have been exhibited in any previous Sandy Water Color Guild Art Show. “Water Color” as defined by the Sandy Water Color Guild By-Laws is “a painting in transparent and/or opaque water media or unvarnished water soluble media on paper”. There is a $10 entry fee for the each submitted piece
- Each piece must be suitably framed with wire on the back, ready for hanging. The Exhibitor will label each piece legibly on the back with title, name, phone & sales price, or NFS (not for sale). Outside dimensions may not exceed 33” x 33”.
- Neither the Sandy Water Color Guild Art Show Committee nor the Sandy Senior Center is liable for losses, damage, or broken glass or any other damage due to faulty framing. Insurance, if desired, is the responsibility of the exhibitor.
- The show will be juried by Benton P. Patton, Doctorate in Painting, Aesthetics, Art History & Color Theory. He attended Brooklyn Museum Art School and the Art Institute of New York. He Taught at Illinois State and New Mexico Highlands University.
- Cash prizes will be awarded for Best of Show, 1st Place, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place. Merit awards will receive goods and services donated by local merchants. Honorable mentions will be awarded at the judge’s discretion.
- If work is sold, the buyer must contract directly with the exhibitor. Payment of all sales tax is the responsibility of the exhibitor. The Sandy Water Color Guild takes no commission.
- The exhibitor will not remove or change art work during the exhibit. The show will be open from March 8 through April 1st during regular Senior Center hours ( 8:00am to 4:00pm. ) An artists’ reception and public awards ceremony will be held from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Thursday, March 18. Work can be retrieved on April 1 between 3:00 to 6:30pm.
